My paper went in today–now it will be reviewed for acceptance. It’s on the Space Games competition to make one of the first objects on the 0G 3D printer aboard the International Space Station–a unique learning experience for STEM students. Did you know that the US is in a critical shortage of STEM graduates? (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math); disciplines needed for aerospace.

I developed the idea for Made In Space, the technology genius behind the 0G 3D printer. They wanted an idea to reach out to students, one that allowed them scalability for a Bay Area reach, then to other areas and districts. (My background is in innovative learning programs for industry and education; M.S. in Education. I love to create new ways to solve problems.)

The MIS printer is currently on the ISS. Students compete to design a game the 3D printer makes, and then played by the astronauts (based on NASA’s time allowances).

Very exciting. The pilot high school involved in the East Bay; a top performer with an exceptional science teacher as their Space Games mentor. The first Game should go up in early 2016.

it has a great looking logo!
